How to make the most of the Alver and Arlene Person Pedway
After months of construction and months of delays, the Alver and Arlene Person Pedway finally opened in March 2017. While the convenience of the pedway is obvious for faculty, students are still trying to figure out how they can benefit from it.
Here are ten unorthodox ways to make the most of the Alver and Arlene Person Pedway:
The pedway is a great place to spend time; spot clouds, stargaze, or bird watch. You can always bring a lawn chair.
Spy on people
You can watch students walk under the pedway between classes and remember the days when construction obstructed your path. First years have it easy.
There’s not a lot of student traffic so you can catch your z’s after an all-nighter. Either rent a pillow from the library and find a spot in the middle of the ramp or use the couches by the entrance.
Play music or sing.
If the practice rooms are overbooked, try the pedway.
Enjoy the beauty of campus in the winter from afar.
All from the warm comfort of the pedway.
The pedway is the perfect romantic place to finally ask your crush out on a date.
The scenery will make it easier. You can also leave in opposite directions making it easier to never see each other again.
There’s lots of space to stretch.
Do pedway rec.
It’s like “campus rec” but in the pedway. Ped-rec. Don’t forget to stretch first, refer to #8.
Walk shamefully across the pedway after meeting with your academic advisor.
This beautiful pedway has the perfect ambiance to come to terms with the fifth year you didn’t think you’d have to take.
